Birthday Card

I put myself on a spending freeze at the beginning of the year.  I did pretty good not spending any money on craft supplies until I found some cute stamps at Simon Says Stamps. This adorable birthday cow stamp just seemed to hop in my shopping cart.  How did that happen?
Anyway, she is super cute all dolled up for a birthday party.

Bingo With Aud Sentiments

The new challenge at Aud Sentiments starts today.  We are playing Bingo.  I chose to use the right hand column of dies/markers/favorite color.  My favorite color is yellow.
We are sponsored by Star Stampz.  I used Sweet Rose for my card.

Buttercup Baby Fairy

I just love the face on this digi image! This is Baby Fairy Buttercup from Mo's Digital Pencil.
She is so cute she didn't need very much on the card for embellishments.
After coloring her wings with copics, I painted them with extreme glitter paint for some sparkle.
This card is for my sister's mother-in-law who recently had a stroke.

You're The Tweetest

I've had this cutie colored for quite awhile now and have finally made a card with her.
This is just the sweetest image and it will be perfect for so many cards.
I found these little ladybugs while doing a little online shopping.  I couldn't resist buying them.  They are wooden and have adhesive on the bottom so that they stick to the card perfectly.

Cancer Warrior Scrapbook Layout

Last year our world was turned upside down when my husband was diagnosed with Stage 4 Colon Cancer.
Since most people with colon cancer are diagnosed after age 50, Doctors recommend that people start getting colonoscopies at age 50.  Colon cancer is preventable when people do their screenings.  There are some warning signs but my husband did not have any of the warning signs or symptoms. Our oncologist told us that most of the young people who are diagnosed usually are already at stage 4 due to lack of symptoms.  There is no cure for colon cancer, only treatment.

My husband is a CANCER WARRIOR.
We choose to be positive and consider him to be LIVING WITH CANCER.

It is now 11 months post diagnosis and he is still going strong.  Most people who meet him don't realize he is sick.  He receives chemo every other week at the cancer center and then goes home with a pump for another 48 hours of chemo.  He has had very few side effects from the chemo. He will continue with this regimen for the rest of his life. He continues to work everyday. He owns his own construction business and continues to schedule projects. In fact, he has jobs lined up for the next 2 years.  In addition to the construction business he also farms.  I don't think anything, especially cancer is going to stop him from doing the things he loves.
